SUMMARY : August 1963 – Alice Bonnard, a fifteen-year-old boarding school student, must spend the summer holidays with her parents, living on a farm in the Landes region. Between a cantankerous mother and a boorish father, the young girl escapes through a diary. In it, she describes her puberty-related problems, her disorders leading to deviant sexuality. The arrival of Jim, hired in Alice's father's sawmill, will draw her into unspeakable fantasies.

ABOUT THE FILM : Catherine Breillat 's first feature film (36 Fillette, Romance) Une vraie jeune fille, shot in 1975, was not shown in theaters, following the bankruptcy of the production company. This sulphurous work, an adaptation of the filmmaker's novel Soupirail, was not released until 1999. Starring Charlotte Alexandra (Contes immoraux), Hiram Keller (Fellini Satyricon), Rita Maiden (Playtime) and Georges Guéret (Les Charnelles), Une vraie jeune fille is a carnal tale, an Alice in Fantasyland, a long-unseen film that is finally offered to you, in high definition.
