SUMMARY : Carol Rivers inherits a nightclub, the Midnight, from her uncle Fletcher. Having just recovered from a nervous breakdown, she decides to move in with the goal of renovating it. But once there, Carol feels spied on, and even threatened by strange strangers. As she explores the premises, Carol realizes that the building was not only a nightclub, but also served as a brothel, catering to a clientele specialized in sexual perversions.

ABOUT THE FILM : For his second feature film, director and screenwriter Matthew Chapman (Strangers Kiss) has surrounded himself with a 4-star cast, including Jennifer Jason Leigh (Flesh and Blood), Peter Coyote (Femme Fatale), Brenda Vaccaro (Supergirl) and Steve Buscemi (Fargo). Awarded at the Sitges Film Festival in 1989, Heart of Midnight was not distributed in French cinemas, and was only briefly released on VHS under the title Heart of Midnight. Here is the opportunity to (re)discover this strange and sulphurous thriller with a restored master in high definition.
