SUMMARY : On the set of a film, Nadine Chevalier is humiliated by the director, in front of Servais Mont, a freelance photographer. Moved by the actress's disgraceful treatment, he visits her at home the next day. There, he meets Jacques, her husband, an eccentric man hiding a deep-seated illness. The next day, Nadine and Servais meet again. A deep friendship blossoms between these two people, both of whom life has weakened. Without telling her, Servais decides to offer Nadine a leading role in a play. But to do so, he is forced to borrow a large sum of money from Mazelli, a blackmailer.
