SUMMARY : In the late 1980s, in Biarritz, Lili, a fourteen-year-old girl, spends her summer vacation at a campsite with her family. Fairly troubled, Lili is in conflict with her parents and older brother. During a night out, she meets Maurice, a man in his forties. He takes Lili to nightclubs, then to the Hôtel du Palais, where he is staying. A complex relationship develops between them, based on desire and rejection.

ABOUT THE FILM : Following on from A Real Young Girl, Catherine Breillat , with 36 Fillette, continues the exploration of emotions and the awakening of the senses in a teenage girl. The director adapts here her eponymous novel, published in 1987. Around Delphine Zentout (The Scarlet Eye) who plays Lili, we find seasoned actors, including Etienne Chicot (Le Plein de super), Jean-Pierre Léaud (The 400 Blows) and Jean-François Stévenin (Cold Moon).
