SUMMARY : Thirteen-year-old Anaïs is spending her summer vacation in La Palmyre, a seaside resort near Royan, in Charente-Maritime. She is accompanied by her parents and her fifteen-year-old sister Elena. Elena falls in love with a young Italian man, Fernando, who introduces her to her first sexual experiences. Anaïs, who is sleeping in her sister's room, witnesses their lovemaking. This situation unnerves the teenager, especially since her parents seem indifferent to her unhappiness.

ABOUT THE FILM : A chronicle of morals with an unexpected ending, À MA SISTER was directed by Catherine Breillat two years after the controversial ROMANCE. A film evoking the affection between two sisters with opposite physicalities, À MA SISTER is a moving work, in which we will remember, among others, the performances of Arsinée Khanjian (EXOTICA) and Laura Betti (THÉORÈME, 1900).
