A director of diverse talents, Claude Mulot often remained in the shadows while his alter ego, Frédéric Lansac, found the spotlight during the golden age of French erotic cinema. From horror to thriller, including adventure film, dramatic thriller, and comedy, the filmmaker tried his hand at almost every genre with varying degrees of success, but always with the sincerity of a man in love with his craft. This book aims to pay tribute to him and to ensure that the reader feels they have come to know Claude Mulot better.
Born in 1962 in Allier, Philippe Chouvel developed a passion for the 7th Art at a very young age, with a particular enthusiasm for popular cinema from the 1960s to the 1980s. After a stint publishing role-playing games, he returned to cinema, writing columns for the websites Sueurs Froides and Psychovision. Since 2016, he has worked occasionally for Le Chat qui Fume.
