SUMMARY : The year is 1975. After several years of forced immigration, young director Andrzej Zulawski returns to Poland, where his situation is uncertain. His family is falling apart: his wife , Malgorzata Braunek, files for divorce. To strengthen his position, Zulawski undertakes a titanic task: he plans to make ON THE SILVER GLOBE, a science-fiction epic and the greatest film in the history of Polish cinema. If he succeeds, he will earn his place in the pantheon of Polish directors. If he fails, his career in Poland will be over.

A documentary about the upheavals in the making of a film that was arguably the first Polish science-fiction mega-production. Featuring photos from the original set, archival material, and interviews with Polish filmmakers, journalists, actors, and critics, the documentary aims to provide a comprehensive historical perspective on a complex moment in Polish film history.
