SUMMARY : Following an argument with her friend Serge, Martine accepts a nursing job at "Doux Séjour," a retirement home isolated in the countryside. She quickly becomes friends with Nicole, her coworker, who soon disappears under mysterious circumstances. Between an authoritarian director, a caretaker and handyman with strange behavior, and rather crazy residents, Martine ends up realizing that she is a prisoner of the house... but above all, that she could be in serious danger.
ABOUT THE FILM : Shot in 1980, Night of the Dead is one of the defining films of French horror cinema of the era. Raphaël Delpard (Clash) doesn't hesitate to sprinkle his plot with gore scenes and inject a good dose of dark humor. Isabelle Goguey, Claude Pierson's regular actress, is accompanied here by two of the major supporting female roles in French cinema: Betty Beckers (Max et les ferrailleurs) and Germaine Delbat (Oscar). Finally, Night of the Dead is the film that introduced Charlotte de Turckheim to the public.
