AN EDITION FROM THE INTERSECTIONS PUBLISHER

ABOUT THE FILM :
1853, British Colonies of Australia: Following a petty theft, Daniel "Mad Dog" Morgan is sentenced to 12 years in hard labor. Upon his release, he is saved from injury by Billy, a young Aboriginal man, and becomes a bushranger, a notorious bandit rebelling against the brutal and vicious local authorities. A manhunt begins, but for Mad Dog, there is no question of giving up.
In his only Australian film, Dennis Hopper (Easy Rider, Apocalypse Now) plays with panache one of the most famous bandits of the Australian continent. Philippe Mora (The Bowels of Hell, Communion) signs a western with local color, hallucinatory, brutal and poetic, a libertarian "Once Upon a Time in Australia" which contrasts the violence of a man pushed to the limit and the hypocrisy of the system which created him. Photographed in CinemaScope by Mike Molloy (Barry Lyndon), MAD DOG MORGAN is one of the flagship titles of the Australian New Wave.

Mutilated and invisible for years, it is officially presented for the first time in France, here on Blu-Ray in its full restored 4K version.
