NITRATE #07: FÉDÉRIC LANSAC, FILMMAKER UNDER X

A pioneer of the genre and a perpetual innovator, he directed the biggest stars of this era commonly called the "golden age of porn" where sex was filmed by talented artisans: Brigitte Lahaie , Cathy Stewart , Karine Gambier , Sylvia Bourdon and Marilyn Jess , without forgetting, on the male side, Alban Ceray , Richard Allan and Dominique Aveline . His works contain, within elaborate plots, comments that are sometimes funny, sometimes bitter, even ferocious, on his contemporaries and their sexuality, and can, as such, be considered sociological documents today.

This work is based on interviews conducted with several of Claude Mulot 's collaborators, including Didier Philippe-Gérard (alias Michel Barny), Marilyn Jess and Gérard Kikoïne .

He has also collaborated with Le Chat qui Fume, Bach Films, Extralucid Films, Klubb Super 8, Pulse Editions, and the fanzine Vidéotopsie, and co-manages the VHSdb website, dedicated to video cassette collectors. A graduate in English literature and civilization, he is also a translator.
